Wildo Camp-a-Box Complete Review

With the nights starting to cool and the weekend looking fine, my daughter and I decided a trip to Bushline hut (Nelson Lakes National Park) would make for a great weekend. Kia had  her trusty Deuter Fox 30 and I was using a Osprey Talon 44. Will talk about this pack another time but I loved it!

Anyway when hiking with kids you tend to carry some of there kit on top of your own. So to make life simpler for us and to lessen my load I ditched the usual bowls, cups, cutlery and opted for a Wildo Camp-a-Box Complete. https://www.packgeargo.co.nz/product/wildo-camp-box-complete-7pce/

Now this  7pce set includes: plate/bowl, Lid/plate, fold-a-cup big, fold-a-cup, cutting board, shaker and spork. Add another spork and we had our meal kit for two in one functional, lightweight, compact kit.

The cutting board has holes in one corner which acts as a strainer and the shaker has 3 compartments so you can have salt and pepper and your favourite spices all in one shaker. The spork does what its meant too but if your prefer a knife and fork then you may want to pack them as well. We added a folding titanium spork inside the camp-a-box no problem.

The Fold-a-Cup big is 600ml so whether your having hot drinks, cold drinks, soup or even porridge for breakfast it has it covered. The smaller fold-a-cup nestles inside it when they’re folded down.

So if you want a well thought out kit equipped with all the necessities and dont want to get to your hut or campsite to find youve left your mug or cutlery behind then this could be for you. Worked great as a space/weight saving option for two and I’m sure we will test its durability with many more adventures.
