The TentLab’s New DirtSaw Deuce #3 Ultralight Trowel features an updated design that makes it faster and easier to dig the perfect hole in rocky, rooty ground but remaining super lightweight and amazingly strong. Wide and smooth teeth are specifically designed to agitate and cut dirt like a serrated knife but they won’t snag on roots or threaten to cut your hand. The weight is kept amazingly low by the use of aerospace-grade aluminium and kept ultra thin. The simple curved design mean that is is low profile and easy to pack away.

Features

Wide and smooth teeth are specifically designed to agitate and cut dirt like a serrated knife but they won’t snag on roots or threaten to cut your hand
2 deep notches on the front edge protect recessed teeth that you can sharpen to slice tenacious roots
Teeth are protected so they can stay sharp and they’re far enough away from the front edge that they don’t threaten your hand when using the trowel upside down
Use the trowel handle-side down to probe the top 3 in. for rocks or roots—this is how you’ll use the trowel about a third of the time
Ray bends make the trowel 65% stronger against bending in the middle and almost 3x stronger at the hole; elliptical hole shape is stronger, too
Short handle allows you to exert more force by pushing on the shoulders and top of the trowel at the same time
Handle end is slightly flared so you can use the DirtSaw as a pull or push saw
Blunt front shape is great for pulling out loose dirt from deeper holes and makes a stronger tip for prying (when you’re not prying with the handle end)
Good sand stake but even better for burying other things as sand anchors
