Six Moon Designs Polycro Footprint – Small
$35.95
Six Moon Design’s Polycro footprint is made from ultra strong and ultra light Polycro membrane. Designed for shrink wrap and frequently used as a second thermal layer for windows, this material is exceedingly rugged. While not as durable as Tyvek, it’ll provide significant protection and weighs virtually nothing.
Be careful though, this material is so light, it’ll blow away in a light breeze. So be sure to weight it down after you spread it out.
This Footprint comes two per pack. So you’ve got twice the protection

Just to add to my earlier review (Peter Brown, December 2021), I looped plastic ties through the brass grommets I had punched into the Duck Tape reinforcing on the corners and the edges of the two Polycro footprints I have and peg down the loops rather than directly through the footprint. Very successful. Last used in rain under a Macpac Microlite with the inner removed. Makes for a light package which dries very quickly.

VERY light and compact. I haven’t put a hole in it yet but fully expect to, but will be easy to patch with a little tape when I do. Does what I expect.

Excellent product, very impressed at how well it worked. It is light so need to hold it down if windy when placing on the ground however seems strong and very effective. Highly recommend

Very lightweight. Nice to receive two in the pack so I have a spare

I am looking for a light ground sheet for my fly tent. The polycro does work, except that it’s very light and can blow away. I reinforced the corners and middle edges with Duck Tape and punched through 6 No 2 wire stakes to hold the groundsheet down under the fly. This was partially successful as the polycro stayed in place for the night bit one corner tore out. I’ll reinforce with Tenacious tape and try again.
