Best umbrella to take for backpacking in NZ rain or shine. The uv ray here is not to be underestimated especially on that long summer day out in the open with no shade. You’ll feel better at the end of day without feeling drain from hiking in the hot sun all day. Of cause, put it away when it’s too windy or while bush bashing. This is not to replace your rain gear. Study the track and check the weather on the day then bring it or leave it based on the condition. The design is simple and light weight. It feel as sturdy or better than my wife blunt metro and less than half the weight. Also perfect for when you have to cook in the rainy day and rather go outside than risk burning the tent while cooking in the vestibule. I’ll get another for sure if something happen to it. I even order the mini version of this umbrella from oversea for travelling. Thanks for fast shipping and a great service.
