It’s definitely better than the half-frame pack I had from another maker – the zip in which broke after a long history of troubles. Time will tell, but they stretchy loops seem so much more durable. The particular type of opening is also much better for getting long items (tent poles, fishing rods) into your bag… but it is a bit fiddly.
