We brought both the red & yellow Ortlieb Sport Roller Classic plus other bags & accessories to go with bike packing & the Ortlieb bike rack. This was for our bike touring trip from Picton to Bluff then back up to Roxburgh.
We are both cyclist & have cycle gear but decided to buy Ortlieb bags as you hear so many great things about their product plus see alot of people using them world wide. We were not disappointed.
From the ease of packing them & balancing between the two panniers, too the ease of taking them off the bike whether because of ferry trips, gate ways & or just getting to your accommodation/tent, they were very easy to take off but with saying that we never had a bag jump off or come disconnected from the Ortlieb bike rack. Very solid.
I also had the 24L Ortlieb rack pack which connected perfect with the sport roller classic & with the top opening fitted the tent in perfectly plus was able to use as a compression bag when rolled up to make it all snug.
Besides all that, we were totally impressed & really relished that they did what they say & are water proof. Never did it come any worry cycling through heavy rain or even the day after & the gear stayed perfectly dry.
