The Deschutes Bundle is an ultralight, ultra-versatile shelter system that can be set up as a tent, a tarp, or a net tent. The bundle includes both the Deschutes Tarp and the Serenity NetTent. The pyramid-style design is incredibly stable providing 360° protection in some of the most extreme conditions. The Deschutes Bundle will have you prepared for whatever the trail brings.
The Deschutes Tarp provides 44 sq. ft. of protection and is easily set up with one trekking pole to a maximum height of 124cm This allows plenty of room to sit up without feeling tight. The inner net is cut trim to save weight. It provides able sleeping space for one camper and their sleeping gear. The remainder of the canopy coverage can be utilized for gear storage.
The removable NetTent hangs from the underside of the canopy. Because the tarp can be set up first and taken down last, the Serenity NetTent remains dry in rainy conditions. The integrated bathtub floor adds further security.

Really, really pleased with this tent and the only reason I haven’t given it 5 stars is because I wish the fly was SilPoly, like others in the SMD range, rather than SilNylon – yes, the fly on this tent does what SilNylon does and sags when wet. Otherwise, it’s fantastic. Easy and quick to pitch, the fly goes up first and comes down last, perfect when pitching or packing up in the rain. Even on mornings when the inside of the fly is covered in condensation, I’m still able to extract the inner while keeping it dry. My last UL tent was a hybrid, partly single wall two pole tent with integrated floor and netting and I found it a total pain in the a*** to deal with when wet. The Deschutes tarp and Serenity net tent combo resolved that issue for me, letting me deal with outer and inner separately, and it’s incredibly light, well made and VERY compact too. If SMD ever upgrade the Deschutes to SilPoly I’ll buy another in a heartbeat. Recommended.
